Your roofing business, on speaking terms with AI.
Connect RoofMetric to Claude, ChatGPT, or Perplexity and just ask. Your pipeline, estimates, measurements, storm alerts, and schedule, answered in plain English, from your phone, even by voice.
Things you can just… say
Ask your CRM anything
Customers, pipeline stages, estimate totals, payment balances, photos, documents, checklists, every answer pulled live from your account, scoped to your company only.
Estimates from measurements
The AI reads your saved satellite measurements, squares, ridge, eaves, perimeter, and fills your own template's quantities. You review, price, and send in the app.
Storm radar meets your book
RoofMetric already tracks hail and wind at every customer address. Now you can ask about it in the same breath as your schedule.
Voice-first field work
Add notes, create tasks, book appointments, capture leads, and log expenses by talking, everything lands in RoofMetric tagged as AI-entered.
Connect in about two minutes
- Open Connect AI in RoofMetric. It's in the left menu of your RoofMetric app.
- Add RoofMetric in your AI app. In Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector →
https://mcp.roof-metric.com/api/mcp. You'll be sent to a RoofMetric sign-in page to approve access, no keys to copy. - Ask away. Enable RoofMetric in your chat's tools menu and start with "What's in my pipeline?"
Works with Claude and Perplexity today via custom connectors; ChatGPT support depends on your ChatGPT plan's connector settings. Perplexity has one extra step: after adding the connector, tap the “+” next to it in your connector list to authorize it. Prefer manual tokens? Power users can create scoped access tokens on the same Connect AI page.
Built paranoid, on purpose
- Your company only. Every connection is locked to your login and your company's data. Cross-account access is structurally impossible.
- You pick the permissions. At connection time you choose what AI can do: read, add & update (notes, tasks, leads, stages, schedules), and, off by default, delete. Every delete requires your confirmation in the chat, and deleted customers are restorable. Money and emails are never accessible.
- Everything attributed. Anything AI adds is visibly tagged, rate-limited, and audit-logged.
- ⏻ Revocable in one click. Disconnect from the Connect AI page or your AI app's settings, access dies instantly.
The full capability library
Everything your AI can do once connected, in plain English. Permissions are chosen by you at connection time.
Ask & find
Search customers · full customer summaries · pipeline overview · who's gone quiet · estimate details with payments & balances · roof measurements · photos & documents · checklists · your tasks · upcoming appointments · storm/hail hits on your customer base · morning digest (schedule + tasks + leads + storms in one ask).
Measure & estimate
Run a preliminary satellite roof measurement from just the address · draft a full estimate from your own template with measured quantities and waste · turn any estimate into a purchasable material list (bundles, rolls, sticks) · check ABC Supply order status.
Add & update
New leads (with the job file ready to go) · notes · tasks · appointments · business & job expenses (voice or receipt photo) · vendors (auto-added when you name who you paid) · move customers through pipeline stages · complete or reschedule anything · update contact info (old values preserved) · check off punch-list items.
Money answers
Revenue collected by month or year · top customers · expense summaries by tax category, owner/admin only, same as in the app.
Deletes (opt-in)
Off by default. If you enable them for a connection: delete customers (archived & restorable), tasks, or expenses, and the AI must confirm every single delete with you in the chat first.
Never possible
Sending money or invoices · charging cards · emailing your customers · touching billing or your team · seeing any other company's data. Not opt-in, structurally impossible.
The rest of the job, not just the measurement
Connecting your own AI provider is one kind of automation. The one contractors notice first is a receptionist who picks up at four in the afternoon while the crew is still on a roof.
Front Desk: a business line that rings your phone
A real business phone number for your company, built in. Place and answer calls, keep a shared call log the whole team can see, and text customers from a number that is not your cell. Incoming calls ring your iPhone with the standard call screen, on the lock screen, whether the app is open or closed. Every paid plan includes a real business phone number, free, with 120 minutes a month. See how Front Desk works.
Tax Central: expenses, receipts and W-9s
Track business expenses by job and by Schedule C category, so profit per job is a number you can see rather than one you work out in January. Scan a receipt with your camera, and collect a signed W-9 from every subcontractor you pay.
Timeclock: clock in from the truck, approve from the office
Your crew clocks in and out from the app with a location stamp on every punch, logs breaks as they take them, and submits each shift for approval when it ends. Owners, admins and team leaders approve or correct time for the people under them, and approved hours export as a CSV for payroll. Included with Platinum and Enterprise at no charge. On every other paid plan it is a flat monthly add-on for the whole company, not per user, and trials can use it during the trial. See what each plan includes.
Front Desk, Tax Central and Timeclock, answered
Does RoofMetric include a business phone number?
Yes. Every paid plan includes a real business phone number at no extra cost, with 120 minutes a month. You pick your own local number in about thirty seconds. Calls and texts run from the app or a browser and always show the business number rather than a personal cell, and every call files itself against the customer it came from.
What does the AI receptionist actually do?
Turn on the AI receptionist and she answers when you cannot. She knows your services, your hours and your service area, books estimates straight onto your calendar, takes a message when the caller needs a person, and emails you the recording and a summary. Both sides are told the call is recorded, and recording can be switched off. It is optional: the business line works on its own with your team answering.
Do incoming calls ring the phone when the app is closed?
Yes, on iPhone. Front Desk calls ring with the standard iPhone call screen, on the lock screen, whether the app is open, in the background or closed, and appear in Recents like any other call. An Android build is in development with no release date announced.
Can I track expenses and 1099 paperwork in RoofMetric?
Yes, in Tax Central. Track business expenses by job and by Schedule C category, scan a receipt with your camera to fill in the vendor, amount and category, and collect a signed W-9 from every subcontractor you pay. Taxpayer numbers are encrypted and shown only as the last four digits.
Does RoofMetric have a timeclock for my crew?
Yes. Timeclock lets each person clock in and out from the app, pick the job they are on, and log breaks as they take them, with a location stamp on every punch. Shifts are submitted for approval when they end; owners and admins see everyone, team leaders see the people under them, and employees request corrections rather than editing the record. Approved hours export as a CSV for payroll. Included with Platinum and Enterprise at no charge. On every other paid plan it is a flat monthly add-on for the whole company, not per user, and trials can use it during the trial.
